“DYING TO BE KING” a yet to be written book.
Pg. 33 And I quote:
“Jesus, ‘took up His cross’ and followed the Spirit’s lead into the wilderness. There He would have died unless He was sustained and filled with His good friend, H.S. He battled and conquered the satan. And now became King and Lord of all. This is why He could say, after His own wilderness experience, that His Father’s Kingdom had come. He ‘treally’ died “King of the Jews”, and of all men; whether acknowledged or not – it makes no difference.
In Heaven He died to self and came to earth as human; in the wilderness He died to self; in Gethsemane He died to self; on Calvary He died to self.
And us — what have we done with the “new man” within?
Do we love God with all our heart, mind,will, strength? Or-
Have we died a little/a lot to our “new man” — Do we again sit as king?”
I’m not saying those were bad experiences! Far from it. I enjoyed my vicarious faith and my weekly vicarious experience of Jesus!
